“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13 NIV
Although this verse is very short, it has a deep and intricate connotation making it rather complex, but at the same time it is simple to those to which has been revealed. I would say that it might be due to the fact that it has been taken lightly, repeating it from the mouth out numerous times without ownership and without taking into consideration the weight that this verse entails. In other words, without really believing what is being said.
Also, this verse has different depths, which makes it applicable to all that seems impossible to humanity. However, here is my point, when a person faces a situation that according to his mind surpasses his point of trust making it impossible to believe, then the truth of God ceases to be true for that person, because he is convinced that for these circumstances the truth is not enough.
But notice that it says, “I CAN do all things through Christ … “It does not say, ‘I can do Some things through Christ’.
We know that this is a Faith problem: (“The assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” [Heb. 11: 1]). The result of your life experiences is going to be directly impacted by the faith that you apply in your daily life. Everyone has faith, that is, everyone thinks and puts his hope in just about anything in life. We live in a constant display of daily faith in everything around us, for instance, we believe that we’ll get home safe and sound after a day’s work. That nothing bad will happen in that flight. We believe we will not be lay off our job, we are confident that we will not be betrayed or simply, that what we eat is going to be good to our stomach. What I mean is, that there is a basic faith that is applied in our everyday life as normal, because it’s what we know and learned since we entered into this reality. However, this faith is placed in the circumstances and not in the Lord of the circumstances, bringing disappointment and hardening of hearts, loosing the ability to believe or have faith in the truth. (It’s a shame that this happens among those who claim to believe God.)
The potential we have as God’s children to believe is extraordinary, but one must learn to change the way of thinking, the customs and belief systems in order to access the faith that moves mountains.
“Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
Matthew 21:21 NIV
I call it “Crazy Faith”
The only way to reach the faith that goes beyond the natural boundaries, bringing the supernatural Kingdom of God to the physical reality, is if we allow our minds to be transformed by the Spirit of God. If we are willing to let go of all that we believe, in order to gain the knowledge of the laws of the Kingdom of God. In simple words, remove the old hard drive of your computer and replace it with a new one of greater capacity.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2 NIV
It becomes impossible to believe in the impossible if the person has not or hasn’t been willing to be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Even though God has said through His word, “nothing is impossible for God (Lk.1: 37).”
Everything that is unexplainable, when things make no sense (or can not be discerned by reason), everything that stretches the human mind putting it out of it’s comfort zone or the unknown; first of all, it can be scary, second of all, fear keeps us at a safe distance from the need to confront the truths and strange thoughts of the Lord.
““As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 NIV
Meanwhile, God is seeking sons and daughters that are willing to risk it all in order to get to Know Him and believe in the depths of the inheritance Christ has for them. Thriving in all things as well as their souls prospers …
“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,”
Philippians 3:8-10 NIV
““I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
Jeremiah 32:27 NIV
I CHALLENGE YOU TO BELIEVE GOD TO SAY, YES LORD I WILL BELIEVE THE TRUTH OF YOUR WORD WITHOUT RESERVATIONS. I will stop trusting in half-truths, I will confide in your whole truth.
May all eyes that reads be blessed . My prayer is that the Lord continues your process of sanctification according to the truth of the Word of God.
