This word is for someone. You’ve been praying for the salvation of a loved one many years now. I want to bring encouragement to your soul by telling you what God showed me.
I saw the life of a young thief who had been lynched by the people of the town. While slowly dying he remembered God just before his last breath and he repented, giving his life to the Lord. I heard him desperately calling his wife right before surrendering to Christ and then finally pass away.
This verse came to my mind when I was meditating about what the Lord showed me:
“Then (the thief) said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. ” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.””
Luke 23:42-43 NIV (emphasis added)
There is a word of hope burning in my heart for you today: ‘If you do not give up praying for your loved ones, the Lord will not give up on them either.’
Again, I saw the young man calling his wife while praying to God. It makes me think that Maybe his wife prayed and cried out for the salvation of her husband, making him remember all the times she would speak to him about God. Ultimately, leading him to make the most important decision of his life right at the last minute.
He went home with the Lord!!
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.””
Joshua 24:15 NIV
As the head of his family, Joshua took the decision on behalf of his household to only serve the King of Kings. The Lord is calling us to fight in prayer for our family. Even if you still cannot see results and even if everything seems to go from bad to worse, do not stop interceding for their salvation.
“So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
Luke 15:20 NIV
Inspite of the intimidation of the fight and how much you have been waiting and interceding. I want to reiterate, If you do not give up, the Lord will not give up on your loved ones.
Keep praying and let the supernatural peace of God engolf you in the midst of it. Trust Him fully, He can not lie; God will take your faithfulness into account even if it has to be at their last breath.
If you are praying for the salvation of your spouse, do not give up, do not stop pushing trhough and do not neglect it. This should be the most important prayer for you right now. Remember, there is a spiritual covering over your spouse and your children because of your righteous walk before God.
“For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.”
1 Corinthians 7:14 NIV
Don’t let your guards down and keep praying!
Receive this word in the fear of the Lord.
