There are so many things we could have but we don’t have them because we don’t ask. And if we do, we don’t ask for them enough giving up in the process. Thank God He doesn’t forget like we do! Nevertheless, the Word is clear when it says,
“And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.”
Matthew 21:22
And by saying this I am not referring to futile and senseless requests that only satisfies the desires of the flesh. I’m talking about real stuff, like healing, woundings of the soul, open doors, family restoration, salvation, deliverance of old mindsets and fear, wisdom, understanding. We could go forever with this list.
This is how I see it. Envision a Huge Cup, your prayer is like liquid gold dropping down slowly into the cup. The substance needs to feel it up in order for the prayer to go through. Some cups are bigger then others. It will all depend on the will and timings of God, also on your disposition towards praying so it would come to pass.
Do you remember Daniel? The angel visited him and said that He was dispatched from heaven the first day he started praying, but had opposition on his way to deliver the message. Read on,
“Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief [of the celestial] princes, came to help me, for I remained there with the kings of Persia.”
Daniel 10:12-13
What would’ve happened if Daniel would’ve given up praying. Our prayers are the fuel for angels to fight against opposition, therefore, avoiding delays and even lost of what we want to see. WE CANNOT DISMAY!
This is the key: “set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God”
Keep praying! And if you have given up, pick it up again! He will give you instructions as of HOW to pray. We are called to be resilient collaborators of Heaven.
The Lord bless you
